In honor of Bird City last weekend, we are showing the movie Fly Away Home (1996) a story about a 13 year old girl who rescues a family of geese. This film is based on true events. Tuesday, April 25th at 3 PMMeeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, join Braelyn for Adult Creative Writing. We will have writing prompts and activities for those looking for inspiration. The first hour will be used for brainstorming and writing, the time left will be for sharing our pieces (for those that would like to). All materials will be provided by the Library (paper, pens, pencils). Sharing of new or old pieces is encouraged, but not required.
Come learn about what's currently happening in the night sky on Tuesday, April 25th at 5:30 pm. Our presenter, Bob of the Neville Public Library Museum Astronomical Society, will also touch on the solar eclipse and telescope viewing in general. There will be time for a Q & A. If the weather is nice, we will be going outside to view the sky through telescopes. This program will be held in the City Council Chambers, please enter through the Library.

A Dementia Care Specialist from the ADRC will be discussing the various behaviors that a person may display when they have dementia. Join us for an hour of creative, hands-on fun in using Technology! We'll bring out some of our STEAM gadgets to explore. This program is aimed at patrons ages 9 and up.

Stress is a part of all our lives. The severity of that stress can vary. However, when stress hits, it's nice to have ways to cope with it. Join us Monday, April 17th at 12 PM for our "Stress Happens" program. We will discuss different signs your body gives you when you are stressed, different coping mechanisms you can utilize when dealing with that stress, and additional resources that might be useful. This program is geared towards teens and older. Memory Cafés are geared for individuals experiencing early stage Dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, and family and friends of those affected. It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, camaraderie, and lots of creative fun!
