Log your reading throughout the year to earn new badges in our app Beanstack or on our Beanstack website. This yearlong reading challenge is designed to help you keep track of your reading (books). Now is the time to try out new genres like Young Adult, Mystery, Thrillers, Nonfiction and even Fiction. No book is too long or too short to read. Challenge starts January 1st and ends December 31st, 2022.

Thanks to the generosity of the von Stiehl Winery, we would love to help our patrons get a little crafty with corks. Starting December 15th at 10 AM, our Cat and Canine Cork Ornament kits will be available at our circulation desk for our patrons that are teens or older.
Kits are limited to one per teen/adult. Supplies are limited. Kits will be given out on a "First Come, First Served" basis. No reservations. Available starting Tuesday, December 13th at 10 AMWith the weather getting colder there are more reasons to stay inside. For teens looking for something to do, come to the Algoma Public Library on December 13th starting at 10 AM to pick up one of our Snowflake Ornament Kit.

Escape Rooms run on the hour starting at 3 pm on Wednesday, September 21st. Times to choose from are 3 pm and 4 pm. Registration recommended.
Examples of Supplies Needed: Scissors, Loose leaf paper, Single subject notebooks, Elmer’s Glue, Pens, Pencils, Color pencils, Glue Sticks, Crayons, Markers, Folders, and Pink Erasers These items will be available for our local teachers to pick up during the annual Teacher Meet and Greet. This Meet and Greet gives teachers the opportunity to come in and connect with the Public Library, set up teacher cards and to talk to library staff on any material needs and or any questions they may have.
Summer time is a great time to go traveling right? Or so we think it is. On this trip we have to make sure our plane takes off on time and doesn't detour us to the Bermuda Triangle. Are you prepared to help your fellow travelers out on this journey? It's time to pack our bags and take off! (Don't worry, no one is actually harmed in this game).
