Monday, June 19th at 10 AMJuneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19 to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the US. The holiday was first celebrated in Texas, where on that date in 1865, in the aftermath of the Civil War, enslaved people were declared free under the terms of the 1862 Emancipation Proclamation. This educational kit revolving around learning about the importance of Juneteenth will be available for pick-up starting June 19th at 10 AM. Supplies will be limited. This kit is geared towards late elementary schoolers to early high schoolers.

Memory Cafés are geared for individuals experiencing early stage Dementia, mild memory loss or cognitive impairment, and family and friends of those affected. It’s a great opportunity for lively discussions, information gathering, refreshments, camaraderie, and lots of creative fun! Each month we do a different activity, this month is National Diary Month. Tuesday, May 23rd at 3 PMMeeting on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, join Braelyn for Adult Creative Writing. We will have writing prompts and activities for those looking for inspiration. The first hour will be used for brainstorming and writing, the time left will be for sharing our pieces (for those that would like to). All materials will be provided by the Library (paper, pens, pencils). Sharing of new or old pieces is encouraged, but not required.

Movies selected will be rated PG-13 or younger. Today's Movie is: Movie: Night at the Museum Rating:PG Runtime: 1 HOUR 48 MINUTES Kids stop in on May 18th from 3-4 pm to play with our Remote Control Cars. First we will work together on building a course with different roadblocks and obstacles. Then we will take turns using the cars to get through them. Cars are limited so participants will be taking turns using the cars. These off-road racing cars can perform so many cool stunts. The car can move in all directions, can do extreme 360 degree tumbling spins and can also flip on both sides using its controller.
This program is for ages 9 and up. We are discussing Mother Daughter Traitor Spy by Susan Elia MacNeal on Tuesday, May 16th at 1 pm. This book is available in regular print through Infosoup, and Libby eBook / eAudiobooks.
A kit designed for Adults, inspired by Disney and all are non-alcoholic drinks available Monday, May 15th. Kit includes 2-3 recipes and some ingredients. Participant is responsible for purchasing the rest of the ingredients.
